My name is Karen Sanford, and we will be working together for the Winter 2011 semester! This is our class Wiki; and we will be using it for each session throughout the duration of our class! Get used to checking it on a regular basis! Your weekly reading assignments will be posted here as well as guiding questions that will help you make sense of your reading. I often have material posted that you will need to print and bring to class. The powerpoints I will be using are also posted weekly on our wiki. Throughout the semester I will ask you to respond to certain discussion prompts; and that will be done through the wiki as well.
The Discussion tab is a great place to leave messages for me or other classmates! As you are checking in to keep up with your reading and homework don't forget to check in on the discussions! You may be the one who needs help with something, or you may be that one person who can help someone else!
This is an demanding class; and it is easy to fall behind if you don't keep up with your work! I promise if you come to class regularly and keep up with your assignments you will learn a ton!
